Dear Sir.
You are kindly invited to take part in the International Scientific Conference under the title "Globalization challenge: Response of socialist and social-democratic parties", which will be held in Moscow, Russia. Possible dates: 28-29 June or October 2001( two days of October to be confirmed later).
Principal issues of provisional agenda are:
- The Influence of the current trends of globalizationon a modern ideology and political practice of the Socialist and Social-Democratic parties of different countries;
- Actual social-economic and political problems and possible ways of their solution in the modern world;
Invited to the Conference are:
President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of RF State Duma, Chairman of RF Federation Council, members of the Government, known politicians and public figures, renowned politologists.
Delegates of honuor to the Conference are:
M.Gorbatchev, Laureate of Peace Nobel Prize and Chairman of Russian United Social-Democratic Party; G. Seleznyov, Chairman of Sociopolitical Left-Centrist Movement of Russia and Speaker of RF State Duma; A. Podberyozkin, Chairman of "Dukhovnoye Naslediye" (Spiritual Heritage") Movement; I. Rybkin, Chairman of the Socialist Party of Russia, G. Shakhnazarov, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, etc.
Wide representation of the left parties of European and CIS countries, as well as of Russian and foreign mass media is anticipated.
You are kindly requested to confirm ASAP your participation and advise the Organizing Committee on your participants name, position and title and on the timeframe of the conference your prefer.
